copy the post from bf1 ...........there is all what we need :-)
Before I set up a winter league..... I might post in the open forum, but if u have a non HH buddy you want to invite for the season please let me/them know asap
Reply here if u are hoping to attend. If the time for kick-off needs changed to suit you please let me know.
It has to be said if you dont know the courses (by attending these practise sessions,) you will find the racing very frustrating. More importantly for the rest who do know the tracks it can really slow the whole night down while we try to help you, so please if you are interested in the race nights pop along for a few of these practise sessions.
Also I am thinking of making a rule for collisions, something like the person who runs into the back of the other person leading will be put back a few meters on the grid. what do think? It might help peeps be a bit more cautious, anyway have a think, tis only an idea..
Il2 version will be 408m or 409m depending on who has what installed.
Race starts at 8 pm my time
Pass for the Races will be:
race
Feel free to bring who u want, but tell them it takes a long time to organise. Also any more than 10-12 and it gets a bit hectic so HH_Squad members have priority!!!!
The usual bits at the end for newbies...

advice:
On the launch of the game taxi to the starting line, if you are un-sure where that is just wait and follow the rest
Please use your ‘wing-tip smoke’. (My default key is T)
Please type ‘Ready’ when you are set on the starting line
There will be a short delay and then a count down to ‘go’
Please try to stay lower than the height of a pylon
Racing is hard to organise, please be patient
f I feel too many people have collided I reserve the right to call for a ‘restart’.
Rules:
No.1 rule: it’s a fun night, so have fun.
Information:
Credit where credit is due
Firstly, these maps are the creation of Crimson-Pilot (
http://www.free-birds.org/). I thank him for the effort in creating them and his kind permission for their use!
Newbies
If you are new to racing then tonight is for YOU. Racing is very different to fighting, so please just have a ‘go’ and don’t worry if you find it hard! It gets easier when you know the tracks.
You have to be patient to learn the racetracks and wait for the starts to be organised
(Hint; If you are unsure of the track it is probably best that you stay a little bit high on the corners to avoid collisions. If you want to learn, I suggest you record your flying. Fuel and engine management are choices are critical!!!)
Team-Speak
As a host it can be quite stressful for me to type loads of instructions (hence these notes). If you have a microphone and headphones, please join us on ‘Team-Speak’.
If you do not have a microphone please join us on team-speak to, at least you will hear my instructions and can type that you have heard them.
Please do NOT use a microphone and speakers, it can cause a feedback loop and disrupt communications.
You can download by going to
http://hyperfighter.sk/ then go to ‘downloads’, download the ‘client’ and install. If you need help with the install pleas ask me and I will be glad to help!
To join us on team-speak
Easy way: got to ‘http://www.hh80th.com/’ click on the team-speak icon on the left hand side of the page, 5th box down!
Hard way: launch the program and go to ‘connection’ then go to ‘quick connect’. Then enter ‘hh80th.kicks-ass.org:8767’ into the box titled ‘Server address’. Add your squad-name to the ‘Nickname’ box then hit connect!

You need to have (For race 1: Canyon.), the key for manual gears (raise/lower) set up. (You can set this up in the controls section of the main IL2 menu, or by hitting ‘esc’ in game and using controls tab.
You need know the key for ‘wing-tip smoke’. (My default key is T)
You need to know the key to set your chocks.
You need to know the keys to start a 2 engine bomber.
(Select right engine key then start. Select left engine key then start. THEN select ALL engines key. Please note this is the same for the Lerche, which will feature in the next set of races.)
